When should you file for Social Security benefits? Making the right decision at this stage in life depends on a multitude of factors including income, assets, health status, life expectancy, family dynamics, and life goals. Some decisions are irreversible: Starting Social Security at age 62 can leave a lot of money on the table if you life into your 90's; Failure to consider the impact of marriage, divorce, remarriage, and widowhood can severly pinch your lifetime stream of income; Failure to coordinate IRA RMDs with Social Security taxation results in needless diminshment of income that could be put to better use for health care or just enjoying life. Join us as we learn the ins and outs of Social Security benefits and how to best evaluate your benefits and choices! A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Couples may attend together for a single registration fee.
