In this 4-session class, you will master zippers, bias binding, hem and seam finishing, piping, pockets, and French seams. These tips and tricks will help you level up your sewing skills.
1st session: Zippers - centered, lapped, invisible
2nd session: Seam finishing techniques - Hong Kong, Faux flat felled, French seams
3rd session: Bias binding and piping edges
4th session: Pockets - On seam, Patch , Pant side pockets
You will need a working sewing machine, sewing kit, and scissors for class.

This course will be offered via ZOOM (live online instruction). The instructor will provide the ZOOM registration link prior to the course beginning. ZOOM is a free online application.

Anna Brody
A. Laura Brody spent 30 years as a professional costume crafts person, designer, and maker. She's made costumes for LMFAO, the Black Eyed Peas, and Rhianna. She has worked for Netflix, Disney Imagineering, the LA Opera, Disney and Nickelodeon TV, Diavolo Dance Theatre, and many specialty costume houses. She's taught at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and given workshops in DIY sewing, draping and patternmaking for adults and kids alike. Her relaxed, encouraging, and adventurous approach to teaching makes pattern making, draping, crafts, and sewing accessible and fun.
