Have you ever wondered how beautiful candles are made? Have you ever wanted to make fragrant, multicolored candles for yourself or friends? In this dynamic online workshop, students will learn virtually how to create unique candles to admire and share for far less than what they cost in stores. Students may be able to complete several candles and learn skills enabling them to continue on their own through Zoom. Topics include: o Getting started o Types of candles o Candle molds o Adding fragrance and color o Materials and supply sources. This course will be offered via ZOOM (live online instruction). The instructor will provide the ZOOM registration link and ingredient list prior to the course beginning. ZOOM is a free online application.

Quayum Abdul earned his Master of Science in Physics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh before moving to the United States in 1989. He enjoys teaching others how to make their own soaps and candles, an artistic craft he learned through his family's business in Bangladesh. Mr. Abdul teaches at L.A. Mission College, Westside Extension, and Pasadena City College.
