Quayum Abdul Quayum Abdul earned his Master of Science in Physics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh before moving to the United States in 1989. He enjoys teaching others how to make their own soaps and candles, an artistic craft he learned through his family's business in Bangladesh. Mr. Abdul teaches at L.A. Mission College, Westside Extension, and Pasadena City College.

Ivetta Abelyan Ivetta Abelyan is a gifted artist and graphic designer who has taught i nboth the public and private sector. She earned her Bachelor's Degree with a major in Graphic Design & Fine Art from California State University Northridge.

Curtis Adney Curtis Adney graduated at the top of his college class with a 4.0 GPA, and has a Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University. Mr. Adney is a life coach, motivational speaker, and author of a forthcoming book: Pinpoint Your Destiny.

Lisa Agaran Lisa Agaran is a professional Mixed Media Artist. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibits throughout Los Angeles and New Mexico. Lisa's work has been published in Incite, Dreams Realized: The Best of Mixed Media, and Incite 3: The Art of Storytelling. She has a BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and a Masters in Psychology. Prior to her art career she worked as a Licensed Therapist (inactive), Creativity Coach and Graphic Designer. Integrating both her artistic and psychology background, Lisa's worked with artists and creative professionals. From her own experience with the creative process, Lisa understands first hand how to work past the blocks in order to access our True Creativity Within. She has been teaching Mixed Media Workshops that blend different mediums and techniques.

Bronwen Aker Bronwen Aker is a professional geek. By day she works as a web developer, writing and updating code for websites used by the entertainment industry in Hollywood and around the world. On weekends, she teaches computer courses, sharing her love for technology and science with others, which she has done since the late 1980's when she wrote, produced and performed planetarium shows at the Los Angeles Valley College Planetarium to help raise funds for the LAVC astronomy club. From there she went on to become a Planetarium Lecturer at the Griffith Observatory, and a technical trainer for corporate, municipal and government organizations all over Southern California. Current projects include studying cybersecurity issues and technologies, and enjoying the local wilderness in the San Gabriel mountains.

Dana Bernard

Kevin Boyd Kevin Boyd, MBA,MS, a former Bell Labs engineer and Vice President of a market leading cardiology software company, is a multi award-winning eBay Education Specialist, published eBay author and the technical editor for "The Complete Idiot's Guide to eBay." Kevin has appeared on TV, various radio shows and interviewed by Bloomberg News and several newspapers for his insights to online entrepreneurship. He teaches at over 40 colleges in the U.S. and canada. The primary objective for his writing, teaching and consulting, is to educate online sellers at all levels and equip them with the skills necessary for online entrepreneurial success.

Anna Brody A. Laura Brody spent 30 years as a professional costume crafts person, designer, and maker. She's made costumes for LMFAO, the Black Eyed Peas, and Rhianna.  She has worked for Netflix, Disney Imagineering, the LA Opera, Disney and Nickelodeon TV, Diavolo Dance Theatre, and many specialty costume houses.  She's taught at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and given workshops in DIY sewing, draping and patternmaking for adults and kids alike.  Her relaxed, encouraging, and adventurous approach to teaching makes pattern making, draping, crafts, and sewing accessible and fun. If you can dream it up, she can make it- and show you how to make it too.

David Broida David Broida is a gifted teacher/student/performer with 20 years of experience. He loves to demonstrate for students the fiery emotion and physical movment that drives great harmonica playing. Broida is an accomplished guitarist and harmonica player who has performed in clubs and on the road.

Michelle Buckley As one of the pioneers of what is considered the modern age of wedding planning, Michelle Lynn Buckley not only built a successful coordination company, but a respected and recognized brand. She has appeared as a wedding expert on numerous television networks as well as starred in numerous wedding shows (MTV, TLC, HGTV, E!, Style, TNT), has been interviewed on radio talk shows and had her work, writing and interviews featured in various wedding and lifestyle publications over the last decade. She recently published her eBook, "Successful Secrets of the High-End Wedding Planner."

June Chandler June is a recognizable face in film, television and commercials. She recently completed a starring role in 160 episodes of the telenovella, "The Guilt," now airing in 100 countries. She is a Pasadena Playhouse graduate, and earned the Outstanding Student scholarship at UCLA. Her television credits are simply too numerous to mention, and her movie credits include "Scrooged," "Death House," "The Boost," and "No Way Out." She has been coaching actors since 1969, and helped to launch many careers over the last 20 years.

Charlotte Chen Charlotte Chen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a minor in Art from California State Los Angeles (1970), attended USC's School of Architecture (1992-1995), and holds a California Secondary Teaching Credential. She completed UCLA's Landscape Extension Program (1982-1985). She was an Art instructor with LAUSD for 7 years. She currently teaches Landscape Design at Glendale College, Santa Monica College, L.A. City College and Pierce College, and is a guest lecturer at the Pacific Asian Museum in Pasadena and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in New York. Charlotte is owner of Charlotte Chen Enterprises which specializes in outdoor landscape and building design, and is a Landscape Consultant for Spago Restaurant in Hollywood. She is also owner of "Printscape/Golfscape" woodblock prints for home and office. She has offices in Los Angeles and Old Town Pasadena.

Bobbie Christensen Bobbie and Eric Christensen, retired bankers and financial experts, are the authors of 10 published books, including several award-winning and best-selling books such as "Building Your Financial Portfolio on $25 a Moht (or Less) and Top 50 Best Stock Investments, among others. Karen Civitate Karen Civitate has been a mediation trainer in the federal and private sector since 1992, and has herself successfully conducted more than 500 mediations and group facilitations around the country for government and community agencies. She has an M.A. in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Peace Building and is an Advanced Practioner for the Association of Confluct Resolution.

Craig Coffman Craig Coffman has extensive experience as a professional pianest and music director. He is President and seminar instructor of Just ONCE Classes. Having taught piano privately for many years, Coffman will share piano players' tricks of the trade.

Teresa Cortey Dr. Teresa Cortey has been teaching French in the Community Service program for 10+ years. She taught at Glendale College in the academic program from1975 to 2014, during which time she was Chair of the Foreign Language Department at Glendale College. She holds a Ph.D in French Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley and is keenly interested in language and literature in general. She enjoys being a student of other languages herself. She sees language learning as an exciting adventure - a door to other cultures.

Andrea Davis

Andrea L. Davis is an Adjunct Professor of Italian at Pierce College. She has taught Italian for over twenty years in SoCal schools and universities, including UCLA, CSULB and the Santa Monica/Malibu and Los Angeles school districts. She earned her BA from the University of Pennslyvania and her MA from UCLA, both in Italian Literature, and has studied and worked extensively throughout Italy. Her Italian song, "La Vita italiana fa per me" is featured in the Fiat 500L commercial, "Wedding".

George Espinosa George Espinosa, Ed.D., is a California credentialed instructor, holds a BSE degree (majors in English and Filipino) at the University of the East, Manila, Philippines, a Graduate Diploma on International Relations at Oxford University in the UK, and a Doctor of Education at California Coast University. Dr. Espinosa has taught English, English as a Second Language (ESL), Filipino, Special Education, and Adult Education for almost 2 decades at middle, secondary, and adult levels under the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). He also taught similar subjects at Philippine schools and abroad, most especially Filipino Language and Culture at the University of Vienna during his time as working as Cultural Attache of the Philipines to Austria.

Mona Field Mona Field is Professor Emeritus of Political Science from Glendale Community College. She is a Board member of League for Women Voters Los Angeles, past President of the Glendale College Guild, and was elected four times to the Governing Board Los Angeles Community College District. She literally wrote the textbook on California politics, California Government and Politics Today, now in its 15th edition.

Peter Han Peter Han is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with First Allied Securities, Inc., Member FINRA/SIPC. Mr. Han is also a highly sought after speaker and lecturer on topics ranging from Life and Retirement Planning, to more complicated issues such as Estates and Trusts. Mr. Han has over 10 years of eperience in the financial services industry. He received his B.A. In Engineering Sciences, cum laude, from Dartmouth College.

Michelle Jackson Michelle Jackson has been a makeup artist for over 20 years. She is a Certified Makeup Artist and an international Medical Esthetician. Michelle has experience in almost every aspect of asethetics from facials to makeup. She has been a makeup artist for L'Oreal, Lancome Paris and has trained with top artists. She is one of Hollywood's leading celebrity makeup artists for television, motion picture, and Vogue magazine. Michelle has worked with Madonna, Cher and numerous production studios including 20th Century Fox, MGM, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. "I thrive on continuing my education, so I know all of the latest techniques and products. I specialize in beauty makeup for weddings, portraits, and fashion. I believe that every woman is beautiful." Michelle has been teaching her Makeup 101 for nearly 10 years at many community colleges, including Citrus College, Santa Ana College, and Mt. San Jacinto College.

Bobbi Koonse Bobbi Koonse is a certified Fallproof Balance and Mobility Specialist, having received her training from Cal State Fullerton at the Center for Successful Aging. She has been practicing Karate and Tai Chi at the En Mei Ryu School of Karate and is a full master of the art form (5th Dan). Bobbi has been teaching Tai Chi and Balance & Mobility for older adults at the YMCA of the Foothills since 2007. She is dedicated to helping older adults improve their balance and reduce their risks of falling so that they may have a better quality of life.

Dale LaDuke Dale LaDuke is an award winning singer/songwriter. Originally from the Detroit area, he has for many years made his living writing, teaching and playing music in Los Angeles. Music fills up most of his time, whether he's writing, teaching, or playing - either solo or with one of his bands. His is the "house band" at Santa Monica's monthly "Songwriter Sanctum," and he hosts a weekly open mic night near his home in Tujunga. A Beatles fan since childhood, Dale is thrilled to be a part of THE BEATUNES, a band that reproduces The Beatles as a live act.

Shoushik Mardirosian Shoushik "Sue" Mardirosian has been in the Medical Billing field since 1992, and has been teaching Medical Billing courses since 1997. She is fully experienced in Billing and Coding, and has worked with different specialties in the medical field. She is a credentialed instructor, and a Certified Billing Instructor.

Leela Martin Leela Martin has been teaching Bellydance in the Glendale area since 1998. With an extensive background in classical, modern, and folkdance, Leela brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her Bellydancing classes. She has taught internationally and throughout the states, and loves to share the fun and joy of dance.

Sandy Masuo Sandy Masuo served as a staff editor and writer for a variety of entertainment magazines for more than 15 years. She was a columnist for the Boston Phoenix and a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times Calendar. In addition to her writing credentials, she is a certified Interpretive Guide and holds a Masters Degree in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Sheila Mauricio B.S.N., Masters in Health Care Administration/Education

Kathy Metz Kathy Metz is an award winning artist who's works have been sold into private collections and exhibited publicly. She is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy of Art, and winner of "The Society of Arts and Letters," award for oil painting. She has been teaching art classes in both the public and private sector for over 15 years. Her classes are popular, and well known for their friendly, supportive, and relaxed atmosphere.

Alicia Midgley

James Miller James Miller is a practicing attorney with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of the Southwestern University School of Law, Mr. Miller is a former assistant professor at the USC School of Business. He's been teaching his seminars at Glendale College for over 15 years.

Nancy Miller Nancy comes from a home-based family. She has been presenting seminars for the past eight years throughout the United States. At any one time, Nancy operates several businesses including professional speaking, publishing, mail order, association management, and computer training. Vicki Montez Vicky Montez is a former educator from LAUSD who served in a variety of positions from classroom teacher to various administrative positions. She has a passion for paper arts and has sold many of her creations at holiday craft boutiques. Now, she would love to share her ideas and projects with students in a fun and relaxed manner.

Seung-Yeon Oh Seung-Yeon Oh graduated with B.F.A and M.F.A degress and a teaching credential from Se-Jong University in Seoul, Korea. She has worked at a gallery as a Curator. She has an award-winning career in art contests in Korea, both in solo and group exhibitions. She has taught Oriental Ink Art and Korean Folk Art in both public and private studios in Korean and in the United States.

Bev Peterson

Alyssa Pfaff Alyssa Pfaff is a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience. She has been working at Samy's Camera in Pasadena for 13 years, teaches private photography lessons in her spare time. She enjoys sharing her passion for photography with her students.

Susan Quon Susan Quon has been studying Yoga for over 12 years. Her teaching goal is to bring the joy of Yoga to her students. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Center for Yoga in 2002, and is serving two apprenticeships with Susan Swan and Susan Raglin, noted Viniyoga teachers at the Center for Yoga and Yoga Body and Spirit. She also volunteers in the City of Pasadena's Healthy Living Program, where alternative nutrition and exercise skills are shared with low income and minority families. She is currently expanding into Tai Chi Chuan and acupressure massage.

Carol Reynolds The Riding Coach instructors have been teaching horseback riding for local universities as well as giving private instruction for many years. Each instructor has been certified as Horsemanship Safety Instructors (H.S.I.) by the Horsemanship Safety Association. They have competed in dressage and western riding shows, as well as being accomplished breeders of German warm blood horses. Mirtha Saldana Mirtha Saldana, originally from Peru, is a native speaker of Spanish. Mrs. Saldana holds a BA in Spanish, an MA in Education, including a California teaching credential. She has been teaching Spanish language classes for over 10 years.

Carolyn Simon Carolyn Simon is a flight-attendant-turned-Hollywood-makeup-artist who shares her expertise an enthusiasm with pros, students, and customers. She is a working freelance Makeup Artist, and a Makeup Educator at Mt. San Antonio College and Rio Hondo College.

Alvard Uzunyan Alvard Uzunyan holds a BA and MA in Armenian Language and Literature. Ms. Uzunyan has over 10 years of experience teaching Armenian Language, Literature and History. She has been teaching Armenian Language at Glendale Community College since 2006. Currently attending Cal State University LA, she is expected to graduate this June with an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
