Mixed Media Art is the ideal medium to explore your true creativity and uncover your inner artist without the pressure of having to be artistic or create a perfect piece of art.  Have fun using a variety of acrylic applications and techniques, such as collage, acrylic painting, layering, cool textures, found objects and more.  You're free to experiment and be spontaneous in whatever you create.  When working in mixed media you add dimension and richness to your artwork. In the process, we invite accidents and mistakes to happen, while finding beauty in imperfections.  A $35 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.  All you need to do is show up!
  • Week 1: Learn basic layout composition, backgrounds & color ideas to create visual balance and impact.
  • Week 2: Learn how to create different surfaces with patterns and textures with the use of different mixed media techniques.
  • Week 3: Learn how to incorporate images and your personal photographs with an easy transfer technique.
