In this class, you'll create your own patterns from clothing you love - without taking the clothes apart! "Knocking off" a pattern means to copy it. That's why we call them knock-offs. Most of us wear variations on the same clothes. Once we find pieces that work, we keep on using them. Making patterns from well-loved clothes means that you can make new pieces that are guaranteed to fit perfectly. And, using thrift store fabrics makes it fabulous, sustainable, and affordable. You will make patterns from existing clothing, adapt patterns to new fabric choices, and cut and sew those patterns into brand new pieces of clothing. You must bring your own sewing machine and a pair of scissors. $10 for materials (pay to instructor on the first day of class) OR bring 1 yard of pattern or craft paper, tracing wheel, pencil and straight pins.
