How to Take Great Pictures!

Class meets at Hoover High 5 Tuesdays and one Saturday at Descanso Gardens (admission fee is $9 for adults, $6 seniors) or other offsite location to be determined by class and instructor.

Is your camera sitting on the self waiting for you to take the photos you always dreamed of getting? Do you wish you had a better understanding of your cameras functions? Are all of those buttons and symbols making your head spin? Then this is the class for you! Learn how to take the best pictures possible from a working professional photographer. Starting with the basics, you'll learn the fundamentals of photography, including how to operate your camera on manual settings, how to best use automatic settings, composition, how to stop or blur motion, focusing, controlling depth of field, white ballance, using flash and more. This hands on class will include, demonstration and weekly assignments to be reviewed in class. Bring your own camera and be ready to explore its wonders. The last class meeting will be a field trip, held on a Saturday to be determined by the class and the instructor.
